Part of our ProDentim overview. Last checked October 19, 2026.
The ProDentim side effects dosage answer starts with the label: one soft tablet once a day, or up to twice a day, dissolved in the mouth after brushing.[1] Staying within that limit keeps the intake of probiotics, inulin and peppermint oil at the amounts the label was written for. Each bottle holds 30 tablets, so it lasts 30 days at one a day and 15 days at two.
How do you take ProDentim?
You let one tablet dissolve slowly in your mouth, right after brushing or rinsing. The label says, word for word: "one soft tablet one or up to two times a day... ideally after brushing teeth or using mouthwash. Allow it to completely dissolve in mouth."[1]
The vendor's FAQ gives a simpler version: one tablet every morning.[2] The two instructions do not match, and the label is the one printed on the bottle you buy.
Some points are our inference, not vendor instructions:
- Do not swallow it whole. Dissolving keeps the bacteria in contact with teeth and gums, which is the stated purpose.
- ProDentim comes as soft tablets, not capsules. Searches for "ProDentim capsules" usually mean these tablets.
- Avoid eating or drinking until it has fully dissolved.
What is the right dose and timing?
One tablet is one serving, and the label allows up to two a day.[1] There is no tested dose for ProDentim, because the product has no published trial, so the label maximum is the limit to respect.
Timing
The label ties the dose to brushing or mouthwash, so morning, bedtime or both all fit. In trials of S. salivarius, people often rinsed with chlorhexidine first. An antiseptic rinse right after a probiotic tablet may cut how many bacteria settle in, so take ProDentim after the rinse, as the label says.
With or without food
The label does not say. Taking it after brushing usually means away from meals.
Consistency
Strain trials gave lozenges twice a day for 4 to 12 weeks.[3] The vendor says results take 9 to 12 weeks, without citing a source.[2] Take it daily if you try it, and judge it inside the refund window.
How long does one bottle last?
A bottle lasts 30 days at one tablet a day and 15 days at two. Package prices below come from the ClickBank checkout, checked October 19, 2026.[4]
| Package | Tablets | Days at 1 a day | Days at 2 a day | Price (checked October 19, 2026) | Cost per day at 1 a day |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 bottle | 30 | 30 | 15 | $69 | $2.30 |
| 3 bottles | 90 | 90 | 45 | $177 | $1.97 |
| 6 bottles | 180 | 180 | 90 | $294 | $1.63 |
Cost per day doubles at two tablets. The refund window is 60 days, and the vendor asks for every bottle back, empty or not, at your own shipping cost.[5] More on packages is in ProDentim price and coupons.
Two timing points matter before you choose a size. The vendor advises using it for at least 3 months, which runs past the 60-day refund window.[5] After checkout, extra bottles are offered at $29 or $37 each (checked October 19, 2026). Decline any upsell you did not plan for, since a 1-bottle trial is enough to learn whether you tolerate it.
What should you avoid while taking it?
Avoid going above two tablets a day, and avoid taking it in a way that undoes what it is meant to do. Here is the short list:
- Antiseptic mouthwash right after the tablet. Rinse first, then dissolve the tablet.
- Taking it at the same time as antibiotics. Antibiotics may kill the bacteria. Ask a pharmacist about spacing.[6]
- Stacking other probiotic lozenges or chewables. No one has tested the combination, and it adds to gut side effects such as gas.
- Taking calcium-sensitive medicines at the same moment. Calcium can lower absorption of tetracyclines, quinolones, levothyroxine and bisphosphonates, though the amount here is likely tiny.[7]
Who should skip it altogether is covered on our ProDentim side effects page.
How do you track whether it is doing anything?
Use a simple dated log, and start it before your first tablet so you have a baseline. Record the same things once a week:
- Date and tablets taken per day
- Gum bleeding when brushing or flossing: none, a little, a lot
- Breath on waking, rated 1 to 5 by you or someone you live with
- Any gas, bloating, heartburn or other side effects
- Your dentist's gum and plaque notes, if you have a checkup in the period
Those measures match what strain trials tracked: bleeding, plaque and breath. Compare week 1 with week 8, and decide before day 60. A single bad-breath morning or one bleeding episode means little; look for a pattern across several weeks. What the trials found is on our does ProDentim really work page.
When should you stop and talk to a doctor?
Stop taking it and talk to a doctor or dentist right away if you notice:
- Swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, hives, or trouble breathing (call 911)
- Fever or chills, especially if your immune system is weak
- Severe or lasting stomach pain
- Facial or jaw swelling, pus near a tooth, or a loose adult tooth
- Gums that bleed heavily or will not stop
Mild gas or heartburn that fades in a few days is common with probiotics and peppermint and is usually not urgent.[6]
How to take it: our summary
Here is the label routine in five steps:
- Brush your teeth or rinse with mouthwash first
- Let one tablet dissolve fully in your mouth; do not swallow it whole
- Take one a day, or two at most, per the label
- Space it from antibiotics and calcium-sensitive medicines
- Keep a weekly log and decide before the 60-day refund window closes

Frequently asked questions
How do you take ProDentim tablets?
Let one soft tablet dissolve completely in your mouth, ideally after brushing or using mouthwash, according to the label. Take it once a day, or up to twice a day. Do not swallow it whole or chew it quickly.
Can I take 2 ProDentim a day?
Yes, the label allows one tablet once or up to twice a day. Two a day is the maximum. At that rate a 30-tablet bottle lasts 15 days, which doubles the daily cost to about $4.60 on a single bottle.
What time of day should I take ProDentim?
The label links it to brushing or mouthwash, so morning or bedtime both fit. The vendor FAQ says one every morning. Rinse first and take the tablet after, since an antiseptic rinse may reduce how many bacteria settle in.
Does ProDentim come in capsules?
No. ProDentim is sold as strawberry-flavored soft tablets, 30 per bottle, meant to dissolve in the mouth. Searches for ProDentim capsules usually refer to these tablets. Copycat pages may show other formats, so buy only through the vendor checkout.
How long before ProDentim works?
The vendor says 9 to 12 weeks without citing a source, and the product has no published trial. Strain studies measured gum changes after 4 to 12 weeks. Log your gum bleeding weekly and decide before the 60-day refund window ends.
